POLICY ANALYSTS,RESOURCES CONSENTS AND CITY PLANNERS

Position: Vehicle Inspectors - (Heavy vehicles)

About the role:

If you are someone who pays attention to detail, gets on well with others, has an interest in road safety and knows how to care for your customers then this is the job for you. You would be working a 40-hour week plus rostered Saturdays.

You will be required to have a Waka Kotahi (New Zealand Transport Authority - NZTA) CoFB Authority but if not - no problem, training will be provided, if you have experience as a diesel mechanic and have worked in full-time employment carrying out repairs and maintenance to all safety aspects of heavy on-road motor vehicles for at least 4 years* plus a minimum class 4 NZ drivers license or equivalent.

*This can be reduced to 3 years if you hold a Level 4 or a higher qualification, which includes the credit and knowledge requirements of the New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (NZQF Level 4) or equivalent.

Overseas candidates will be required to provide a (New Zealand Qualifications Authority -NZQA) assessment to work out how their qualifications compare to that of New Zealand qualifications in order to meet the minimum criteria.
